Let’s write proper tribute episodes!
The Megaforce Rangers gathered around the kitchen area as Flynn began making smoothies with a little help from Summer.
"So what’s the deal with Dr. K?" asked Noah.
"Yeah, why is she so mean?" joined in Emma.
"You’d be surprised," replied Summer. "Dr. K can be nice."
"In her own special way, of course," commented Flynn, still working on his banana strawberry smoothie. "Of course, it is the height of awkwardness."
"I wonder what happened to her," noted Orion. "I feel like she’s carrying a huge burden on her shoulders."
"Should we tell them?" Summer asked Flynn as he began pouring out his concoction on the glasses.
"They’re Rangers," he answered. "No point in keeping secrets." He then began serving the glasses to their new friends.
"Well, Dr. K grew up in—"
Before Flynn could continue telling his tale, he heard a loud, almost shrill yell from the other end of the Garage.
It was enough to make Flynn spill some smoothie on his shirt. He and Summer could make out the scrawny figure holding up a box.
"The one and only!" He then went to his fellow teammates.
"Dr. K didn’t tell me you guys were coming!" he shouted as he went to give them both hugs after putting his box down on the floor.
"Ziggy, I’m glad to see you, too," Flynn grunted while in Ziggy’s crushing embrace, "but could you come in quieter next time? I have smoothie all over my shirt."
"Sorry! I’ll make it spotless, I promise."
"Anyway, what’s in that box, Ziggy?" asked Summer.
"Oh, this? It’s stuff I got for the school."
Ziggy then looked at the Megaforce Rangers.
"Seems to me like you both made some new friends. My name’s Ziggy."
The Megaforce Rangers all looked at him with blank stares.
"What? I totally showered this morning."
"What is that thing?" asked Noah, hovering over Dr. K’s left shoulder as he observed the race car with anime eyes on its body. She flicked him off as a gesture to let him know that she didn’t appreciate him being so close to her.
"It’s a prototype Zord Attack Vehicle," she replied while typing away furiously on her computer keyboard. "It was deemed ‘too powerful’ by Alphabet Soup because we could never get it to properly synchronize with the bio-field."
"What’s Alphabet Soup?" asked Jake.
"A secret military think tank set up by the government years before the Venjix attack," she answered sternly. "But that is irrelevant at this juncture."
"What’s a ‘bio-field’?" asked Emma.
Heaving a sigh as a sign of her impatience, Dr. K replied, “It’s an unseen energy grid that connects all living beings together. Now, does anyone else have any useless questions they would like answered?”
The Megaforce Rangers kept their mouths shut.
"All you need to know," Dr. K told them, "is that I am working on a way to get you back to your dimension and to tame the prototype vehicle before Professor Cog gets its hands on it."
"Someone has an attitude problem," muttered Gia.
"Maybe we should walk around Corinth a bit," suggested Troy.
"Not by yourselves," warned Dr. K. "You’ll need at least two of my Operators to escort you."
"We’re fine, Doc," Jake told her. "We’re Power Rangers."
"Guys, let her," said Troy. "This is her team. She’s … different from our mentor."
Dr. K stopped typing at her keyboard, got up from her chair, and led the Megaforce teens to the Garage’s common area. She then walked over to Flynn and Summer who had been visiting their quasi-mentor and friend for the day.
"Flynn, Summer," she told them, "I would like to you to meet our new guests. They call themselves the Megaforce Ranger Operators."
"Nice to meet you," said Flynn, introducing himself to the teens with his delightfully musical Scottish accent, as Dr. K once put it. Forgetting for a moment that he had been working on his Hummer, he shook Noah’s hand with his greased-up hand.
"Nice to … meet you as well," replied Noah, who then observed the grime on his right palm.
"What’s the matter? Afraid of a little grease?" Flynn then got a paper towel so Noah could clean his hand.
"His accent’s dreamy," noted Gia, irking Jake.
"I’m Summer," said the blonde female. "I hope Dr. K wasn’t too rough on you."
"Nah," said Jake.
"Totally intimidated," whispered Flynn to Summer.
It has been four years since I saw Olivia Tennet on screen as Dr. K on Power Rangers RPM, and I’m still as excited about her career as I was then.
I’m so glad to have seen her grow as a performer and as a person.
Ladies and gentlemen,
After a brief hiatus, Olivia Tennet has returned with a brand spanking new Dancing in Small spaces video. This time, she starts out inside a bus stop, but it ends up being so much more.
Please like, share, and reblog!
Store meeting. I got to sing!
